1. a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons.

This is what I was feeling right now today when this challenge was given to me to do. It's still very fresh for me and what I think about daily, as I cared for my mother in law for 3 months and watched her take her last breath here on earth. Doing this LO was such a great therapeutic and perfect way for me to be able to express it so openly my heart.
